Keeping Children Safe Online
The internet can be a wonderful place for children and young people, from helping with school research reports, to communicating with teachers and friends, and playing interactive games. But the online world also comes with risks, like inappropriate content, cyberbullying and scams.
Since 2025, Parenting Across Scotland have been in partnership with Police Scotland to deliver webinars to parents and carers to increase awareness around some of the risks associated with the digital world and how to help keep children and young people safe.
We have delivered several sessions to date, to an audience of around 2000 parents and carers across Scotland. You can view a previous session here.
Feedback from previous attendees include:
"Everything explained in language I understood."
"There was lots of helpful information and presenters were very knowledgeable"
Since then, we have also invited Education Scotland along to share information about how technology is used within schools and as part of the curriculum.
Next session:
Our next sessions will be held on Wednesday 23 October. We will be running a lunch time session and an evening session to ensure as many people can access the webinar as possible. Please only sign up to one event. You can sign up via Eventbrite here.
