Since 2004 Parenting across Scotland has provided a focus on parenting issues in Scotland. We work on:

• improving the information and support available for parents
• gaining greater recognition for the important work families do in bringing up Scotland's children
• representing the views of parents to policymakers
• researching the issues and concerns affecting families in Scotland.

Evaluation of activities 2013-15

4 April 2015

Blake Stevenson evaluated our work from 2013-15. Their findings flagged up the positive role we play in making sure that the views of parents are heard in policy making, influencing practitioners' work with families and carers, providing information for families, carers and professionals, and running events for people working in the field.

10th anniversary report

19 January 2014

What a difference a decade makes. That's the conclusion we come to in our report of the first ten years of working for parents and families in Scotland. There are some gains and some losses. Scotland's policy on families is far more supportive than it was in 2004, and PAS has been closely involved in notable developments such as the National Parenting Strategy and the campaign for more health visitors.

Report on work 2007-10

16 February 2011

During the period 2007 - 10, thousands of parents throughout Scotland have found information and support through the PAS website, our Top Ten Tips booklets and our partners' helplines. We have campaigned on health visiting, advocated for parents to Scottish Government and hosted Parliamentary events where parents meet the politicians. MORI polls on parents' views and an evidence to action project, About Families, are just part of our research activity. To find out more about our recent work, read the report.
