Research about what works and what doesn't work in parenting is
crucial in informing the debate about how government should shape
family policy.
Parenting across Scotland and its partners carry out research on
parenting issues in Scotland. We also gather together information
about parenting research from other organisations.
Parenting across Scotland Surveys
Parenting across Scotland commissions regular polls of parents
to find out parents' views on a variety of subjects, including
their views and experiences of advice and support for
parents, opinions and experience of health visitors,
children's behaviour, what they think of how the media portrays
parents, and how family friendly they think their neighbourhood
is.
