A report from the Family and
Parenting Institute concludes that Britain gets low marks for
family friendly policies.
- It costs £200,000 to raise a child from birth to 21
- The cost of a nursery place rose by 5.1% last year
- The average child in the UK sees between 20,000 and 40,000 TV
ads a year
But the study says work-life balance in the UK is a success,
compared with other European countries.
