Helping children living with a high risk of harm

This NSPCC event will explore cutting-edge approaches to protecting children from violence and physical abuse in high-risk families.

Delivering on early years

In recent years, there has been an increase in research which fully explores the impact that early physical, social and emotional influences have on a child’s social and cognitive development. However, whilst this research and the resulting findings that the very early years (0-3yrs) have the most long term impact on a child’s life is widely accepted, there is still more work to be done in terms of developing, evidencing and supporting programmes currently underway and linking up the numerous initiatives designed to help provide the best start in life for Scotland’s Children.

Infant mental health conference

This conference aims to highlight and build on existing best practice in relation to infant mental health, raise its strategic profile and identify challenges and opportunities for the future. Supporting brain development in the early years. A one-day training seminar facilitated by Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, Honorary Senior Lecturer, School of Psychology, University of Dundee.
