Disabled Parents Network
Disabled Parents Network (DPN) is a national organisation of and for disabled people who are parents or who hope to become parents, and their families, friends and supporters. It supports all parents, including parents with physical or sensory impairments, people with learning difficulties or long-term illnesses, people with mental health issues and Deaf parents. DPN works under the principle that disabled people have the right to have children and that they should be properly supported to carry out that right at each stage of parenting.
The website offers a wide range of resources such as publications, fact sheets and booklists, many of which are in downloadable formats.
DPN runs a helpline on 08702 410 450, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 12 pm to 2 pm, and on Wednesday from 7 pm to 9 pm. There is also an email helpline at
e-help@disabledparentsnetwork.org.uk .
